Meet results against Fulton-El Camino Stingrays

Clara Riggle took home a first-place ribbon while her teammates swept the first four places in the Novice ages 11-12 group as the Davis AquaStarz met the Fulton-El Camino Stingrays in league competition on July 2.

Christy Kubota took second in the same age group, while Molly Thomas came in third, Jessica Hughes in fourth, Natalie Shuman in sixth, Kellee Hyson in eighth, Kaitlyn Plaskett in 10th and Corina Kaufman in 14th. Synchronized swimming combines the grace of a figure skater with the strength and agility of a gymnast, all while under the water. Participants were judged on figures, which measure strength, control and endurance in the water. In the Intermediates ages 15-16 category, Elise Peauroi took home a second place ribbon, with Krysten Cholewinski in third and Jessalyn Eernisse in fifth place. For the Intermediate ages 13-14, Anna Hollander was awarded second place; Alex Wong was fifth. In Intermediate ages 11-12, Emma Meads came in second place, and Maddie Peauroi tookfourth place.

In the Novice ages 9-10 category, Amelia Otto Cutting received third place with Jocelyn Cavins in fourth and Helena Frazier in seventh. In the Novice ages 15-18 group Katie O'Brien was awarded third place.
