The Davis AquaStarz took home six first-place ribbons to win its first home meet Wednesday as it hosted a dual meet against the Cordova Cordettes at Community Pool.

Intermediate swimmers nearly swept the competition with Maddie Peauroi taking first place in the 11-12 age group, Emma Meades finishing first in the 13-14 age group and Elise Peauroi taking home the blue ribbon in the 15-16 age group. Others placing in those age groups were Jessica Hughes, third in the 11-12 group; Christy Kubota, third, and Molly Thomas fifth, 13-14 group; and Anna Hollander, second, and Jessalyn Eernisse, third in the 15-16 age group.

Among the novices, Jocelyn Cavins placed first in the 9-10 age group, while Kaitlynn Plaskett was first in the 13-14 age group. Katie O’Brien also took first in the 15-18 age group. Others placing in the novice group were Natalie Shuman, second, and Eleanor Sperandio, third, in the 13-14 age group; Amelia Otto-Cutting second, Corina Kaufman, third and Olivia Bristow sixth in the 11-12 age group; Anna Riesenberg, second and Helena Frazier, third, in the 9-10 group; and Natalia Kaufman third and Joanna Hughes, fourth, in the 8 and under group.
