The Davis AquaStarz Synchronized Swimming Team took first place in five categories in a meet held against the Auburn Mermaids in a meet held June 24 at the Arroyo Pool.

This was the Davis team’s second home meet and, although they did not win in the dual meet, the team had a good showing in the figures competition.

Elise Peauroi was first in the Intermediates age 15-16 group, while Anna Hollander finished sixth in that category. Emma Meades was the first finisher in the Intermediates age 13-14 category, followed by Christy Kubota in second place, Alex Wong in fourth, and Molly Thomas in fifth place.

Maddie Peauroi was second in the Intermediates 11-12 group, followed by Jessica Hughes in third place and Clara Riggle in sixth place.

Tara Christensen led the Novice ages 9-10 field with her first-place ribbon, while Kaitlynn Plaskett won the blue ribbon in the 13-14 novice group, followed by Natalie Shuman in second place. Katie O’Brien snagged the first in the Novice age 15-18 group.

Other finishers were Joanna Hughes with a third-place ribbon in the Novice under 8 category, and Tess Van Schoor won fourth place in the Novice ages 11-12 group.
