Meet results against Sunrise Swans

At the June 25 meet at Rusch Park in Citrus Heights, Christy Kubota and Anna Hollander won first place in their respective categories for figures again the Sunrise Swans.

Kubota was first in the Novice ages 11-12 class, followed respectively by teammates Molly Thomas, Clara Riggle and Jessica Hughes. Hollander bested the field in the Intermediate age 13-14 group, followed by Alexandra Wong in third place. Kubota and Thomas also received blue ribbons for their duet.
Synchronized swimming combines the grace of a figure skater with the strength and agility of a gymnast, all while under the water. Participants were judged on figures, which measure strength, control and endurance in the water.
Elise Peauroi took second place in the Intermediate ages 15-16 category, followed by Jessalyn Eernisse in sixth place. Maddie Peauroi was awarded fourth place in the Intermediate ages 11-12 category, while Jocelyn Cavins and Amelia Otto Cutting took fourth and fifth places, respectively, in the Novice ages 9-10 category. Katie O’Brien came in second in the Novice ages 15-18 category, and Natalie Shuman was 10th in the Novice ages 11-12 division.
